At a manufacturer, sustainability is not a label on the box. It is decided at the formulation bench and on the supplier list, long before a product reaches a shelf. When you build with UpRising those standards become the standard.
We founded UpRising in 2024 to open a manufacturing industry that has long been closed to smaller and underrepresented founders. Transparency, accessibility, and responsibility aren't add-ons to how we operate. They're the reason we exist.
Traceable botanicals and fair partnership at origin.
EWG 2 or below, EU 1223 compliant by default.
Glass, aluminum, PCR resin, and mono-material.
Lean energy, low-waste batching in New Jersey.
Minority and women-owned, by design.
Solar neutrality, B Corp, first impact report.
Our sourcing philosophy rests on three principles. We keep a US-regional preference where it is feasible to cut logistics emissions, and for specialty and active ingredients, we go further.
Lean formulations and a strong preference for RSPO-certified palm derivatives reduce raw material load from the start.
We prefer suppliers whose sourcing is traceable to origin and who demonstrate a commitment to fair labor practices throughout their supply chain.
Our French partner lab maintains long-term relationships with farming communities in Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Senegal, reinvesting in local schools and medical care rather than operating on one-off extraction contracts.
Our sourcing spans African farming communities in Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Senegal, through our partner lab in France, and into our R&D labs in New Jersey and Brooklyn. Every origin is chosen for traceability and fair labor, not just availability.
The majority of our formulations score 2 or below on the EWG Skin Deep scale, and every formula is made to comply with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009, one of the most rigorous ingredient frameworks in the world. That positions your brand for global distribution from day one.
We formulate lean, minimizing ingredient count without compromising performance. Where possible we replace synthetic or controversial ingredients with high-performance botanical alternatives.
Packaging runs through our network of partners, and sustainability is raised at the start of every project. The most responsible format available is always weighed alongside aesthetics and cost, never as an afterthought.
For paper-based boxes, inserts, and labels, we encourage FSC-certified, recycled-content sourcing, and continue expanding our partner network to bring more sustainable options to every project.
